Community Cooking

In a win-win situation, we are able to bridge together a necessary gap between parents.

Some parents love to cook and want to be home with their children, unfortunately that doesn't pay very well.

Some parents don't have time to cook at night after a busy day at work, yet they do have money to pay someone to do it for them.

Put these two groups together and their individual problems become the solution for the other :)

This is true also for the elders of our community.

There are some who are still physically able to cook and others who need to be cooked for.

It takes a village to raise a child, let's bring that into action.

Benefits For the Clients:

Imagine coming home after a stressful day at work and not having to worry about what's for dinner, and not only that but not having to worry about putting together one of those box meal subscriptions that are actually more effort than you have to give.

If you could walk in the door knowing that a home cooked nutritious meal was ready to eat,

and that the whole family could just sit down and relax and enjoy each other's company,

for the short window of time in day that you are all together, without any stress, wouldn't that be lovely?

How would you feel if you knew that your payment for the food was going to support another family, to have financial independence and dignity whilst staying home with their children, because that's the choice they made,

rather than being forced to choose between being with kids or make money?

For the Home Based Cooks:

We have all of the recipes and can supply you with the food, we are simply on the lookout for some home-based cooks.

Could this be something you are interested in?

What if you could work for 3 hours a day, cooking meals in the kitchen, just as you do most days, but this time for other families who need a little extra help in their day. This would allow you to be there with your babies and toddlers as they grow and to watch them take their first steps or write their name or even maybe start reading to you. And you will still have plenty of time to get outside and do other activities as it's not taking up your whole day.

How would a couple of extra hundred dollars in your families' budget look? What would you be able to put that towards?

Would this pay for clothes and shoes for everyone (a never ending expense), or maybe a family outing on the weekends for some quality time?, or maybe just to put some money away for a rainy day and finally have some savings?

Whatever you need and want right now could be closer than you think.

And don't forget that you will be helping other families in your local area to take the pressure of themselves, to not have to do everything all of the time. It could be a working parent, or maybe a new mum, possibly a sick parent who's recently come out of hospital or maybe a child who has been sick and has put extra pressure on the family. There are many reasons why families can't cook for themselves and if you can offer them nutritious and healthy food for the same or less cost than takeaway, then you are really offering an excellent community service.

You will ideally be a home owner or in good relationship with your landlord

as your kitchen will need to be certified for cooking with the local council,

which we will assist you in sorting out.
